:: Tanks? No thanks. ::

Our car was nearly hit by an armoured personnel carrier this morning.

I was on the right side of the road they were like 8 of them tanks moving slowly to downtown.

The tanks were on the right (read correct) side of the road. But I blame those who stopped to buy breakfast at the breakfast stalls alongside of the road.  They just parked everywhere and some of the cars took almost half of the road.

I was on the right (fastlane) side of the lane when the carrier made a sudden brake and the one that following accidentally hit the front carrier and it bounced back and being hit again and another bounce that landed on to the lane that I was in.  In front of me was a kancil which is much smaller than my car.  And I was just few inches away from the carrier that was being hit. Like soooo close.

Alyssa sat at the back but she was at the left side of the car that facing the tanks.

I couldn't imagine if it hit my car.  Hit us.  Me and my kid.

  3. Hi Dottie, This coming to you from Canada.
    Wow! Someone up there was keeping an eye on you and kid. Glad you alright. I can imagine your expression too, or words...ha ha.
    Have an affair with one of those, its habis cherita!

    I remember old days I used to travel from Alor Star via a secondary jungle, rubber estates road short cut to Grik, then across the East West H'way, this was early '80s, still curfew from 5.30pm, Grik to Jeli, Kelantan side, and the number of times I had narrow misses with these big 8 wheelers, even though not being a religious person I sure thanked whoever up there.

    Once had a lousy upset tummy....curfew already imposed on that h'way, it was twilight, I stopped my car, left the emergency flashers on, ran several yards inside the wild bushes to do my very urgent business...rojak when travelling can do funny things to a tummy....

    And not 5 minutes when 2 of these monster armoured trucks stopped next to my car.
    Can you imagine about a dozen heavily armed soldiers pointing guns at you when busy downloading? Ha ha ha.
    There was me, hands raised, and showing my toilet roll!
    Thank goodness they had a sense of humour, "chepat incik! Ada curfew"! They thought Chin Peng's gang had kidnapped me.

    Dottie, have a fun weekend, and keep a song in your heart.
    Lee.
