:: Making Smart Decisions ::

I made this yesterday for berbuka puasa. *giggles*

I havent been doing much of cooking this week. Mom did most of the time as I usually off of work around 6pm. Yes, I'm staying with my old folks at this age. Pathetic? Ney... I dont think so.

Lucky I am for I chose to be close to my mom and abah. I have my own house. But i started moving in with my parents about a month ago after something happened. My parents insisted me to move in back with them. Nothing beats living with parents. I come home with clean house. My mom did my laundry eventhough I told her not to.

When I told my parents that i wanted to build a house on a piece of land that is owned by them, the did not object to my idea. Did not even asking. I guess they agreed on the fact that its an investment not an expenditure. I had to sell my Jazz over this house. For the house, I'm paying over RM1,000 monthly installment. And for Jazzy I had to pay over RM900.00 a month. I had to let it go.

I couldnt afford a car at the moment so I'm driving mom's. She's okay with it as she doesnt like to be mobile. But... there is always a but... provided I be her official chauffeur whenever she wants to move around. I had to agree on that like I have any other option. But its like giving and taking. I gotta use her car and she gotta use me. Not that I'm complaining.

As much as I dont have much freedom living with my parents the way I wanted to have, I'm very grateful that I could do and obtain a lot of things that I never thought would come to me. My parents are not getting any younger, I suppose, its time for me to see to their needs.

Neeeways, I'm skooting off for the day. Bubye.

:: Too Much of Nothing ::

So, ummm… yeah, things have been a little quieter than normal with me (from blogging I mean), for a bunch of reasons. I haven’t been updating my web-based blog for eaeoeaoeaeoans. My friends over there mustav been wondering why the silence.

I spent two straight months organizing a seminar of 200 attendees (which was held last week). Being the committee wasn’t quite as what I’ve expected it to be. With too many domestics fallouts while I thought that it’d be minimally harder, it ended up draining me quite a bit more than that. In between that eight weeks I lost my cellphone somewhere in the house. Now that might sound odd. As Shah, my goodmatey, had this eerie idea that my phone might have been confiscated by my parents. Don’t ask why.

I was away on a one-day conference in KL a week before that, and on my way back from the conference I received a message from my mom thru my colleague’s phone saying that my pak long in Sepang passed away that very afternoon. I was already on my way back to Kuantan and was travelling with the Uni transport (go figure). The next morning the whole family had to travel to Sepang (we missed the funeral) and we came back the next day.

To add some spice to life, on the way back from Sepang, I’ve been out with a nasty flu-turned-fever-turned-sore throat-turned-cold-turned-cough, meaning less time for blogging.

With the seminar that was coming and also the visit of 40 people from Sudan all at once, and my favorite doctor had to ask if I had any contact with anyone that was coming from oversea (thank you very much doc!!), that worried me for days. With too many spine-chilling diseases on the news, breaking in our country, how can I be at peace?

If only I have a little time for myself.
