:: Some Guys Have All the Luck ::

I spotted few Uni students driving BMWs, one drive a Murano, lotta Peugeot 407s.  Man! What would their dad be driving?

It might be their parents' but yes, my prime question:  what would their parents be driving?

As some suffer from current global economic issues (me for instance. I dont even own a car), some can drive a BMW to school.  Most of them are under a scholarship.  But for a medical students which fees are like a bombshell, I dont quite understand where do they get their money for gas.  And its a BMW I'm talking about here.  Sekali press the throttle, 50 ringgit melayang.  And they are under a scholarship (again).

I so envy em kids.

:: The Art of Asking Question ::

I consider my office room is pretty strategic. The elevator is just a few steps away.  Opposite my room is the musolla.  I could actually see who's going in and coming out of the musolla.  I could even check if they spend extra time in the musolla, i.e. napping :P.  and the washroom is just behind the elevator.  Perfect!

But as they say, too much of good thing is bad.  I dont quite have the privacy that I wish I could have.  Some of these guys would always, as in everyday, drop by the room and say hi right after they came out of the musolla and ask for the time.

And I arrived at the philosophy of my own that it was a cynical remark made, and last Monday I bought this wall clock and perfectly hung it on the wall  just outside my room.  Ideal for them to see without having to ask me of the time.

But I was wrong, they still came into my room and ask me question.  This time -  'Is that clock right?'

:: Updateable Update ::

Time flies so fast that it’s already Friday again.  I was just ‘asking’ for another weekend to recover from my last weekend and here it is.

Since last Friday, it has been an unreservedly busy week.  I have been trying to adapt with the new environment i.e. new office. There are office politics to learn, rules to follow, things to get used to, people to make friends with… and plus it’s a big change that takes some adjusting to get used to   It is taxing, yes, but I hafta admit, it is fun to learn new things.  Plus the charity work I was helping on on Sunday.

Since last Friday I couldn’t put my focus on things as I have been ‘distrubed’ by calls and texts from the lady that I previously blogged about.  I wasn’t quite sure what she wanted but it was utterly annoying.  She became more aggressive in sending me texts on Saturday morning.  My phones keep on beeping and vibrating that I had lost my concentration.  And my mind was full of her last weekend.

On Monday morning, as early as 8.00 am, I received a call from her.  I thought it’s about time for me to just answer her call and tell her to get a life.  But… when I answered the call, she was crying uncontrollably, telling me that the husband wanted a divorce.  It really shocked me to the bone.  I almost cried.  Well okay, I’m a wussy, I cried.

I thought it was just a small jealousy of a woman and an anger of a man and that it would be a temporary whimper of a couple who’s having a disagreement
.   But to file for a divorce, that was something... massive.

It is a dangerous territory and I do not recommend anyone to go ‘there’. Now, I am not writing about this subject to speak from my soapbox about what I know that you don't.   I have seen the devastating effects that breakups can have. I have felt it.  It so hurting ciz it represents the loss, not just of the relationship, but also of shared dreams and commitments and also the future.  And what hurt the most is when the emptiness and despair take hold and won't go away.  You started to have trouble with your eating and sleeping patterns.

What is hard about breaking-up is embracing the truth.

In life, be it relationship or friendship,  I believe, it is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you lived so guardedly that you might as well not have lived at all.  In which case, you have failed by default.

Awkayyy.  Yeah! Enuff bout them.  Its Ramadhan I should be posting something encouraging.  I’m sorry.

My this year’s first Ramadhan would be Alyssa’s first tarawikh too. I had to pick the last Saf and the last on the line.  She was all geared up for the solat tarawikh knowing that she is granted by her gramma to follow us adults.  Sadly for her,  the Imaam reads pretty lengthy surahs though and at the middle of each surah she whispered me so many questions -- “mama bila nak habis?”, “mama bila boleh turun?” (turun as in sujud), “mama I’m tired”—and many others that diverted my solat.

Last night I decided to stay at home since she seemed tired following us, but to my amazement, she cautioned me about the time as she saw my parents were preparing to leave for the surau.   And she wanted to come too.  I’ve never been any prouder.

:: Spongebob was found in Muar ::

Orang-orang Muar memang pelik kan?

A friend told me, the next time you fall in again Mila, put on an invisible cushion around you so when you tripped you wouldnt fall so hard and it wouldnt hurt so bad.

That would be a good idea now wouldnt it?

Alright.... Who knows what time is the next bus to Muar leaves?

:: The Not So Blank Page ::

Life is full of twists and turns.  Sometimes you can get tangled up like hair without Sunsilk.  And when you try to run your fingers thru yer hair, yer fingers get trapped in it that yer scalp hurts, or a bubblegum that stuck on your hair and you try so hard to remove it.

Well, cuppla months back, I was doing my routine run at Taman Bandar, I bumped onto a husband to a dear friend of mine. A very very dear friend. He raised his head and threw a smile.  The next day I saw him again.  Did nothing but waved his hand as he jogged past me.

And few days after, she told me, okay this may sound perplexing, she told me that her hubby told her, that her hubby met me while we were jogging and she told me that the hubby asked if I’m seeing anyone at the moment.  Weird wasn’t it?

And you know what she asked me to do?  Surprisingly, she asked me to flirt with her husband just to see if he flirts back.

And I went like – wtf??? No no no... I didnt say double you tee ef.  I said - what the fuck.  I was just trying to be polite up there.

My exact line to her was – ‘you’re asking for trouble.  nanti nyesal’.

I stopped my running regime at Taman Bandar from that day onward.

Funny when your dearest friend doesn’t have faith on you.

And today...

Its all started with a two-miscalls from a male colleague around 10.20pm last night.  And a text around 1.25am that read: ‘what is the fadhilat of ar rahman and when is the suitable time to recite it’.  (I’d normally place my fon on silent mode each time I hit the sack.)

Yes I did give him an advice to recite the Surah whenever he feels low.

I read the miscall notification and deleted it off and I just couldn’t be bothered to reply to his text or to call him back as it was 2am.  And he’s married.  Go figure!  And even if he isn't I dont call friends at 2am!  Unless if I start to get chummy with a guy, itu pun, the call would start as early as 9pm that'll drag until 4am.  And it would be like the 'you hang up, no you hang up' kinda conversation.

I went back to sleep only to wake up at 6am when my cellphone alarm buzzed. Upon switching it off I saw another 2 miscalls from him.  But still, it’s too early either to reply to his text or to return his call.  Again, he’s married and I am very much aware of the rule!

I woke up and did my daily routine i.e solat, ironing my workwear and waking up Alyssa. And before I left for shower I checked again the phone.  Another 3 miscalls from him, that put me on a apa-mamat-ni-nak moment.  Probably because I didn’t reply to his text that he had to call me so many times…  I finally replied to his 1.25am text telling him that the surat has so many fadhilat.  In hope he stops calling me.

Guess what chickadees?  It was his wife, trying to call me using his cellphone.  To cut the story short, she managed to get me this afternoon and talked about him.  It was just like a mouthy housewives session.

What am I getting myself into???

I’m not gonna let history repeat itself.
